  1. Gout sucks. Mis-diagnosed for 10 years as arthritis. Diagnosed one year ago as Gout. Life change. Since diagnosis a whole food, plant based diet exclusively. No booze. No beer. Excercise 3-4 x a week and Mt. Bike single speed 2-3 times a week (weather dependent. Now at 6'1", 185lbs.

Steady Eddy on 300mg of Allopurinol daily. Awoke this AM at 4:00 with Wiley Coyote Anvil on Toe.

Back on Colcrys(sp) and Meloxicam with continued Allopurinol. Stay on this for 2 weeks before visit or revist to Rheumatoid Doc.

I'm now 50 years of age and want to continue a quality of life the I'm accustomed to but cannot shake the pain today. Swollen, hot, red. Darn it! Gout sucks.

    1. Hi William,
I suggest you can try stop doing exercise. Too many sweating will increase your uric acid concentration in blood, which will increase chance of Gout attack.
Try drink more water to discharge the purine

Finally, its better to keep track on what to you.The diet patterns give you a hint of which kinds of food cause you the attack,

  2. ( Accidental Gout relief discovery that works for Me).

Have had gout for 8 years. Typically started in the big toe I broke years ago. Got put onto Indocid/Arthrexin Colchicine. Eventually Allopurinol.
Took that for 6 months with good results then stubbornly stopped taking it.
Have had the occasional attack mainly in my knees which affects my life , family and friends as it cripples me for a few days and I make everyone around me miserable mainly due to the medication.
I'd had enough last week and having no pills and only lots of Ice I placed the big blocks of ice on my knee for about an hour, then bent my knee for about 3-5mins in the most painful position and repeated this for a good part of the day. This process reduced the swelling , kills the pain and eliminated the gout. This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks I've done this.It does work for me.
Hope it is of help to anyone.

  4. I just got over a gout attack that lasted over a week in my right big toe. Its still stiff but pain has gone down. So let me tell you what NOT to have to add to the above: (based on my experience)

-BEER – .. beer has highest purine content to trigger gout attacks. if you suffer from gout, you MUST avoid beer!
-Sugary / fructose drinks – they can trigger a gout attack instantly by raising your uric acid level fast.
-shell fish – prawns, shrimp… a real shame to give these up but I have to!
-steak/red meat – maybe once a year but not every week!

now.. what I have tried to help heal myself WITHOUT going to the doctors to get the hard medicines that can screw up your body:

-warm foot bath with Epsom salts
-celery seed extract pills (not sure about this as I just started)
-advil ibuprofen (helped with the pain)
    -cherries – LOTS per day
    -blueberries – LOTS per day
-water water water! 3 litres a day MINIMUM!

    also,
-DO NOT wear tight fitting shoes/dress shoes.
-DO NOT ice the gout area
-DO NOT force yourself to walk when in extreme pain

I hope all of you recover fast.. this week long attack was my longest since I got diagnosed in 2008. It was unbearable and I never want to experience it again.

    1. Yes, diet is the major cause for Gout! It's new to me that "Sugary / fructose drinks" will raise the uric acid level. Please update us more especially the results of "celery seed extract pills" .

  6. Well.. I was recovering over a weekend. the pain had subsided although there was still a bit of joint stiffness and if I moved my toe at a certain angle, i'd feel a shot of pain go through it. I stopped taking celery extract pills and I got cocky. So over the weekend when it seemed my gout was on the decline, I had a mcdonalds cheeseburger/French fries and then the next day I had fish n chips. Well, sure enough ... the Monday/start of the week my gout flared up again. I popped an advil for the pain and will start up the celery seed pills again (reducing from 2400mg to 1200mg daily). But at this stage, I will be going to the doctor to quite possibly go with some allo-purinol as I think its time I treat it with the serious medications.

    1. From my experience, the attack recovers in about 1 week (with medicine). I believe the fast food is one of the cause for the attack. What I believe is the MSG/additive in the food as stated in my other post.

      Get well soon!

  7. I am suffering from gouty arthritis since 8 years. It used to get sudden attacks of severe pain in the joints, more commonly in the big toe. The pain used to be unbearable. My doctor advised me to use Uloric Generic immediately after the first sign of pain and swelling in the joint. After I started using this medicine, the symptoms are under control.

  9. Irrespective of receiving daily oral or future injectable depot therapies, these require health care visits for medication and monitoring of safety and response. If patients are treated early enough, before a lot of immune system damage has occurred, life expectancy is close to normal, as long as they remain on successful treatment. However, when patients stop therapy, the virus rebounds to high levels in most patients, sometimes associated with severe illness because I have gone through this and even an increased risk of death. The aim of “cure”is ongoing but I still do believe my government made millions of ARV drugs instead of finding a cure. for ongoing therapy and monitoring. ARV alone cannot cure HIV as among the cells that are infected are very long-living CD4 memory cells and possibly other cells that act as long-term reservoirs. HIV can hide in these cells without being detected by the body’s immune system. Therefore even when ART completely blocks subsequent rounds of infection of cells, reservoirs that have been infected before therapy initiation persist and from these reservoirs HIV rebounds if therapy is stopped. “Cure” could either mean an eradication cure, which means to completely rid the body of reservoir virus or a functional HIV cure, where HIV may remain in reservoir cells but rebound to high levels is prevented after therapy interruption.Dr Itua Herbal Medicine makes me believes there is a hope for people suffering from,Parkinson's disease,Schizophrenia,Lung Cancer,Breast Cancer,Lupus,Lyme Disease,psoriasis,Colo-Rectal Cancer,Blood Cancer,Prostate Cancer, siva,Epilepsy Dupuytren's disease,Desmoplastic small-round-cell tumor Diabetes ,Coeliac disease,Brain Tumor,Fibromyalgia,Alzheimer's disease,Adrenocortical carcinoma Infectious mononucleosis. .Asthma,Allergic diseases.Hiv_ Aids,Herpe ,Copd,Glaucoma., Cataracts,Macular degeneration,Cardiovascular disease,Chronic Myelo ,Lung disease,Enlarged prostate,Osteoporosis,Dementia.(measles, tetanus, whooping cough, tuberculosis, polio and diphtheria),Chronic Diarrhea,Hpv,All Cancer Types,Diabetes,Hepatitis, I read about him online how he cure Tasha and Tara so i contacted him on drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com / . even talked on whatsapps +2348149277967 believe me it was easy i drank his herbal medicine for two weeks and i was cured just like that isn't Dr Itua a wonder man?
